Gregg, Hester. Hester Gregg was created by Albert Payson Terhune (Cash Wyble) and appeared in four stories in The Premier Magazine in 1924, beginning with “The Adventures of Hester Gregg” (The Premier Magazine, Sept. 1924).

Hester Gregg is a Spinster Detective. She is elderly but is extremely intelligent and so good at solving crimes that the police nickname her “Sherlockette.”
