Greene, Grayson. Grayson Greene was created by Ellis Parker Butler (Reverend Bryson Brace, Jabez Bunker, Diogenes, Philo Gubb, Shagbark Jones, Jane Sprood) and appeared in six stories in The Blue Book Magazine in 1923, beginning with “The Clue Sense” (Blue Book Magazine, Mar. 1923).
Grayson Greene is a Great Detective. The top sleuth of the Walt Magen Detective Agency, he is known as the detective with the “automatic brain.” He used to be a writer of detective stories, but “I thought I would prefer to live them,” so he became a detective. Now he uses his ability to automatically combine small unimportant facts into the “required solutions.”
