Gong. Gong was created by the Spanish author Salvador Mestres (Bengal Lancers, Professor Berstein, Mae Blond, Public Hero #1, Tom Relámpago) and appeared in Gong! El Emperador Pirata #1-12 (1936).
Gong is a young Chinese pirate active in the East China Sea during the 19th century. Through pluck he becomes the “emperor” of the pirates, and leads his fleet against particularly evil local pirates, corrupt Chinese officials, and the British navy.
