Gong. Gong was created by the Spanish author Salvador Mestres (Bengal Lancers, Professor Berstein, Mae Blond, Public Hero #1, Tom Relámpago) and appeared in Gong! El Emperador Pirata #1-12 (1936).

Gong is a young Chinese pirate active in the East China Sea during the 19^th century. Through pluck he becomes the “emperor” of the pirates, and leads his fleet against particularly evil local pirates, corrupt Chinese officials, and the British navy.
