Golden Mask. Golden Mask appeared in the Japanese kamishibai (stories for children told by wandering performers) Golden Mask in the 1930s.

Golden Mask is a Superhuman Costumed Avenger. Centuries ago in a nameless European kingdom a young prince is deposed through the machinations of a traitor. Fortunately for the prince, Golden Mask arrives to help him. Golden Mask wears a falcon’s head mask and is skilled with sword and whip, can fly, and hates evil. Too, the prince has a street urchin lookalike, and the urchin and Golden Mask help the prince regain his throne and kill the traitor and his jester-masked assassin.
