Gilroy. Gilroy was created by Horace L. Gold and appeared in seven stories in a variety of magazines from 1938 to at least 1947, beginning with “A Matter of Form” (Astounding Science Fiction, Dec. 1938). In the future Gilroy is a reporter for the Morning Post who solves particularly tricky crimes.
