Ghost Duke (II). Ghost Duke (II) was created by the Mexican creator Rodolfo Kurczyn (Raul (II)) and appeared in the comic strip “El Duque Fantasma” (Pepin, May 26-Sept 15, 1938).

The Ghost Duke (II) is a Costumed Avenger Cape-and-Épée Hero. During the 17th century in France a troubadour makes the mistake of falling love with the same woman that the Duke of Lorraine wants. The Duke, a powerful and cruel man, retaliates by having the troubadour imprisoned. Years later, the troubadour escapes. He puts on a skull mask and a long cape and organizes a conspiracy to carry out his revenge on the Duke. Along the way the Ghost Duke encounters vampires, witches, and wizards.
