Gauthier, Captain. Captain Gauthier was created by Henrik Dahl Juve (Dutch Hoss) and appeared in three stories in Air Wonder Stories from 1929 to 1930, beginning with “The Silent Destroyer” (Air Wonder Stories, Aug. 1929).

Captain Gauthier is an officer of the Occidental Government, one of two governments on Earth in the 28^th century. The Occidental Government is at war with Orienta, an eastern empire populated by Yellow Peril Asians and blacks. Thanks to the efforts of Gauthier and his assistant Lt. Evenrude, evil men are defeated and killed or brainwashed, including Orienta warlords and a demented scholar and historian.
