Furlong, Richard (II). Richard Furlong (II) was created by Francis D. Grierson (George Muir, Commissaire Patras, Paul Pry (I), Professor Wells) and appeared in Murder in Mortimer Square (1932), Mystery of the Golden Angel (1933), and Monkhurst Murder (1933).

Richard Furlong (II) is an upper class “criminologist–he refused to describe himself as an amateur detective.” He is a “polished conversationalist” (in his own words), is usually pleased with himself, and is capable when he chooses to be.
