Fraser, Alan. Alan Fraser was created by “Hugh Desmond,” the pseudonym of Kathleen Lindsay, and appeared in thirty-four novels from 1942 to 1968, beginning with Suicide Pact.

Alan Fraser is a Scotland Yard detective of international renown who becomes a private detective after the death of his wife, who was active in helping Fraser solve crimes when he worked for the Yard. Many of the cases he solves are based on real life crimes. Romance plays a large part of the crimes he deals with as well as Fraser’s widower’s life.
