Flique, Anatole. Anatole Flique was created by Charles G. Booth and appeared in Murder at High Tide (1930) and Cat and the Clock (1935).
Anatole Flique is a French policeman modeled on Hercule Poirot. Flique is a little, egg-shaped man with a pink, bald head, an abundant blond mustache, and sparkling china-blue eyes. He is animated, vivacious, and vain, although his exploits in France, where he has gained fame as an Inspector of the Surêté, have justified his good opinion of himself.
