Flint, Peter. Peter Flint was created by Stephen H. Agnew (Dixon Brett, John Lyon) and appeared in at least ten stories in Nugget Library and Comic Life in 1913, beginning with “Peter Flint and the Skeleton Gang” (Nugget Library #280, 1913).

Peter Flint is a Great Detective modeled on Sexton Blake. Flint is English and is assisted by the Tinker-like Jack Nugget, who is an enthusiastic amateur inventor. On occasion the inventions actually help Flint solve cases. Flint’s Lestrade is Inspector Bigham, who Flint treats with all the compassion, politeness, and kindness with which Sherlock Holmes treated Lestrade.
