Finnegan, John. John Finnegan was created by “Norman Forrest,” the pseudonym of Nigel Morland (Johnny Lamb, Palmyra Pym, Michael Tandy, John Yardley), and appeared in Death Took a Publisher (1936) and Death took a Greek God (1937).

John Finnegan used to work for the Justice Department in Washington but is now an expert investigator for the British Home office. When Finnegan is asked by friends, he will investigate more ordinary crimes. He is Irish-American, tall, large, balding, and has a firm sense of humor.
