Feather, Dr. Dr. Feather was created by Ray Cummings (Melvin Cone, Martynn & Brett Gryce, Gregg Haljan, T. McGuirk, Roberts & Co., Scientific Club, Tama, Tarrano, Tubby, Uncle Tubby, Vitos) and appeared in twenty stories in Hollywood Detective, Popular Detective, and Super-Detective from 1936 to 1945, beginning with “Fatal Timepiece” (Popular Detective, July, 1936). Dr. Feather is a Scientific Detective. He uses the latest scientific developments to help Captain Allen, of the Maple Grove (N.J.) Police Department, solve various crimes. Feather is married and has an eighteen-year-old daughter, Kit, who sometimes helps her father solve cases.
