Farringdon. Farringdon was created by “Jack Wylde” (Dixon Brett) and appeared in sixteen stories in Jack’s Paper in 1922 and 1923, beginning with “The Crime of the Green Carnation” (Jack’s Paper, Nov. 7, 1922).

Farringdon is a Great Detective modeled on Sexton Blake. Farringdon works from his house near Buckingham Palace and can accurately claim never to have lost a case. He is assisted by police Inspector Caird.
