Eric, Prince. Prince Eric was created by “Serge Dalens,” the pseudonym of the French author Yves de Verdilhac, and appeared in six novels from 1937 to 1992, beginning with Le Bracelet de Vermeil.

Prince Eric is a young prince of the European nation of Swedenborg and has a number of adventures with his older friend, Christian d’Ancourt, including twice foiling an attempt to take the throne away from Eric. Christian goes on to star in novels, as a member of the French Resistance and then a spy for France, after Eric’s death in 1943.
