Emerson, Tom. Tom Emerson was created by the Cuban author Angel G. Cárdenas and appeared in El Dr. Emerson y su Isla Maravillosa (1941).

Tom Emerson is a saintly man who grows up in difficult circumstances in Minnesota but overcomes those to gain great power. He establishes a techno-utopia of SCIENCE! on an island in the Pacific but dies before he can enjoy its benefits.
