Duvall, Richard. Richard Duvall was created by “Arnold Fredericks,” the pseudonym of Frederick Arnold Kummer (Shirley Holmes, Honeymoon Detectives, Octavius, Judge Tyson), and appeared in five books from 1912 to 1917, beginning with The Ivory Snuff Box; The Ivory Snuff Box was filmed in 1915.

Richard Duvall is an American who serves as the assistant to the Prefect of Police of Paris for eight months and then prepares to leave Paris with his wife Grace, only to be given a new mission, one that is espionage-related. Further cases follow.
