Duroc, Luc. Luc Duroc was created by the Canadian author Charles Hémery and appeared in Roman Policier; Les Aventures de Luc Duroc #9-83 (1941-1948).

Luc Duroc is a Québécois private detective modeled on Albert Brien. Like Brien, Duroc is married. His stories often verge on the fantastic; he takes on “The Idol With Bloody Eyes,” a medium possessed by a ghost who seeks justice for her murder, “The Island of the Dead,” lost submarines, evil German war veterans, the cursed Russian crown jewels, and hooded crime bosses.

Duroc appears in stories with titles like “The Cottage of Professor Ardoin,” “The Jade Bracelet,” and “Suicide Park.”
