Duncan, William. William Duncan (1879-1961) was one of the leading film stars of the early cinema, in his time being paid more than Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. He appeared in the Spanish Celebrity Pulp El Hijo del Diablo. Grandiosas Aventuras por William Duncan #1-20? (1920?).

The prose version of Duncan is a more heightened and emphatic version of Duncan’s screen persona, getting into high adventure and chasing down villains (some remarkably villainous) with ease.

Duncan appears in stories with titles like “A Formidable Enemy” and “In Search of the Pirates.”
