Dubois, Colonel. Colonel Dubois was created by "Pierre Nord," the pseudonym of the French author André Brouillard, and appeared in a number of novels from 1936 to at least 1974, beginning with Double Crime sur la Ligne Maginot.

Colonel Dubois is the head of French counter-intelligence. He uses his intuition and lengthy experience to protect the French people, and later NATO, against its enemies. Before World War Two, those enemies are German spies. During World War Two Dubois is active with the Resistance. After World War Two, most of Dubois’ enemies are Soviet spies, although occasionally more fantastic enemies appear, such as a Mad Scientist who has created a lethal bacillus.
