Drago. Drago was created by John Lawrence (Acme Indemnity Op, Sam Beckett, Cass Blue, Barron Hargraft, Marquis of Broadway) and appeared in four stories in Dime Detective in 1936 and 1937, beginning with “Murder By Magic” (Dime Detective, May 1936).

Drago is a Killer Vigilante. Drago is a brown-faced, well-dressed policeman in New York City. When particularly violent crimes are committed, especially against policeman, Inspector McTigue sends Drago, a lone wolf policeman, out to deal with the criminals. Inevitably Drago slaughters them all before wrapping up the case.
