Dorrington, Horace. Horace Dorrington was created by Arthur Morrison (Martin Hewitt) and appeared in nine stories in The Windsor Magazine and Flynn’s Weekly from 1897 to 1927, beginning with “The Narrative of Mr. James Rigby” (The Windsor Magazine, Jan. 1897); six of the stories were collected in The Dorrington Deed Box (1897).

Horace Dorrington is an unrepentant scoundrel, thief, and murderer who uses his job as a detective to enrich himself.
