Doctor Niebla. Doctor Niebla was created by the Spanish author Rafael Gonzalez appeared in El Doctor Niebla #1-2 (1944) and the comic strip “El Doctor Niebla” (El Campeon, 1948-1959). Doctor Niebla is a Lupin. He is a student of A.J. Raffles who steals from the rich and villainous to enrich himself. The common people of London applaud him for his actions, for he takes on particularly brutal gangsters as well as corrupt and evil men, but the police are alarmed by them. Doctor Niebla appears and vanishes like his namesake fog, and is never seen without a scarf or mask over his face. His trademark is a branch of mimosa carried in his buttonhole.
