Dionisiere, Paul. Paul Dionisiere was created by the Spanish author Benigno Bejarano and appeared in "El Secreto de un Loco" (Lecturas, Feb-Oct 1929).

Paul Dionisiere is a French inventor who after escaping from an insane asylum creates a rocket, propelled by an energy beam, in which he proposes to travel to Mars. With the help of a few friends, including an astronomer and a paleontologist, Dionisiere does so. Mars is breathable but cold and is generally a desert, and is the home to a race of feathered, frog-like beings who use robots for servitors and live long, idyllic lives. Eventually Dionisiere and friends return home but are sent back to the insane asylum.
