Diamondstone. Diamondstone was created by “G.T. Fleming-Roberts,” the pseudonym of George Thomas Roberts (Black Hood, Captain Zero, Ghost (I), Jeffrey Wren), and appeared in six stories in Popular Detective from 1937 to 1939, beginning with “The Crime Conductor” (Popular Detective, Mar. 1937).

Diamondstone is a large, blond man who was a successful stage magician until he retired and began investigating crimes as an amateur detective. He is wealthy and lives in Indianapolis. He is assisted by Absalom, a Black valet.
