De Crac, Baron. Baron de Crac was created by the French author Pierre Henri Cami and appeared in Les Exploits Galants du Baron De Crac (1925), Les Aventures sans Pareilles du Baron De Crac (1926), and Le Neveu du Baron De Crac (1927).

The Baron de Crac is a Tall Tale Teller modeled on Baron Münchhausen. The Baron, a courtier to King Louis XV, was a military man and Commander of the order of Royal-Jabot. But he has retired to his castle, the Cracodière, in Gascoigne, from which he tells his guests fantastic (literally) stories about his life and exploits.
