Dare-to-Die Fighters. The Dare-to-Die Fighters were created by the Chinese author Yi Ming and appeared in Huangren Shijie (1903).

The Dare-to-Die Fighters are a group of brave young Chinese prostitutes who are filled with revolutionary fervor at the idea of ending the corrupt Qing Dynasty and volunteer for a set of awful jobs. The women receive training from revolutionary cadres and then marry “corrupted bureaucrats,” join Dare-to-Die (suicide) squads, or simply become bomb-throwers. When the Revolution comes, their sacrifice is “earth-shaking and awe-inspiring indeed.”
