Cutting, Blant. Blant Cutting was created by Harry F. Olmsted (Don Muerte, Hoss Greer, Friar Robusto) and appeared in a number of stories in 10 Story Western Magazine, beginning with “Gunmen of Lost Empire” (10 Story Western Magazine, Mar. 1939).

Blant Cutting is a wandering cowboy who discovers the “almost legendary Tapoya gold—that hoard of Lauriano Tapoya, wrung from the earth by the Yaqui Indians beneath the lash of the Conquistador.” Unfortunately, others are in search of the Tapoya gold as well, and Cutting is forced to defend himself
