Cruz Diablo. Cruz Diablo was created by the Mexican creators Vicente Oroná and Fernando de Fuentes and appeared in the films Cruz Diablo (1934), El Hijo de Cruz Diablo (1941), and La Sombra de Cruz Diablo (1954).

Cruz Diablo is a Costumed Avenger. In colonial Mexico in the 16th century a masked Robin Hood-like figure known as “Cruz Diablo” is robbing from the rich and giving to the poor. He is known as “Cruz Diablo,” or the “Cross Devil,” because he carves a cross in the foreheads of his victims. He is also trying to stop the evil Count Diego from marrying his daughter, the lovely Marcela, to another evil man. Cruz succeeds, although one of the two men masquerading as Cruz is killed while doing so.
