Crisol, Aristides. Aristides Crisol was created by the Spanish author César de Montserrat (Aquiles Martín) and appeared in BYP Aventuras #1-9 (1940) and at least five novels in 1940 and 1941.
In the 1920s Aristides Crisol is a genteel police inspector in Barcelona. He is a peaceful forty-something bachelor who has a great passion for crime-solving, because he only feels happy and fulfilled when he is investigating a crime. He is usually brought on to a case by his childhood friend, police Commissioner Francisco Martín, but occasionally he is consulted by a private citizen. Crisol is known and respected throughout Spain.
