Crampton, Henry. Henry Crampton was created by the Dutch author Herman Middendorp (Dr. Brandt, Bram Korff) and appeared in ten novels from 1921 to 1933, beginning with Het Mysterie van Mont-St-Jacques.

Henry Crampton is a world-traveling English consulting detective modeled on Geoffrey Gill who solves cases across Europe, the United States, and the Caribbean. Crampton is Watsoned by the Dutch academic Dr. Eduard van Buuren.
