Council of Eo. The Council of Eo was created by Thomas S. Gardner and appeared in “The Insect World” (Wonder Stories, Apr. 1935) and “The World of Singing Crystals” (Wonder Stories, Apr. 1936).

The Council of Eo is the ruling council of an alien race of insects. A group of explorers of this race visit Earth. The visitors have no problem in communicating with the various insect species on Earth, including a dominant, tool-using ant species, and after investigation discover that there used to be a huge bipedal mammalian species who was wiped out in a war with a new species of termites. In the sequel the explorers discover an alien race of living telepathic crystals.
