Conroy, Reed. Reed Conroy was created by "Alan Gregg," the pseudonym of Gertrude Mallett, and appeared in the eight-book “Reed Conroy” series, beginning with Winged Mystery (1940) and concluding with Flying Wing Mystery (1948).

Reed Conroy is a teenaged pilot with the U.S. Border Patrol who solves mysteries and captures criminals and spies with the help of his plane.
