Connell, Shean. Shean Connell was created by Roger Torrey (Bryant, Johnny Carr, Johnny Cass, Sam Drake, Mickey Hanigan, George Killeen, Pat McCarthy, Mike O’Dell, Dal Prentice, John Ryan) and appeared in four stories in Black Mask in 1937 and 1938, beginning with “Hillbilly Stuff” (Black Mask, June 1937); the stories were collected in 42 Days for Murder (1937).
Shean Connell is a Bellem. He is active in Nevada and plays the piano well enough to take jobs in nightclubs when a case requires it.
