Coe, Badger. Badger Coe was created by “Caddo Cameron,” the pseudonym of Charles Richard Beeler (Paint & Pinto Hawkins), and appeared in four novels from 1937 to 1941, beginning with It’s Hell to be a Ranger.
Private Badger Coe and his partner Sergeant Blizzard Wilson are Texas Rangers. They travel around Texas and the American Southwest, catching criminals and seeing to it that they are properly hung. Coe is tall, wide, eager to laugh, friendly and talkative. Wilson is lanky, mournful, long-faced, with a drooping red mustache and a network of lines across his crinkled skin.
