Cock-Eye. Cock-Eye appeared in thirty-four stories in The Buzzer in 1937 and 1938, beginning with “Cock-Eye the Sailor” (The Buzzer, Oct. 16, 1937).

Cock-Eye the Sailor is a South Seas Adventurer modeled on Popeye. He has the usual sorts of South Seas Adventurer adventures: fights pirates and cannibals, encounters ghost fleets, goes in search of missing white men, brings down tyrannical native chiefs—that sort of thing.
