Clume, Asaph. Asaph Clume was created by R.L. Goodman and appeared in six novels from 1931 to 1947, beginning with The Murder of Harvey Blake.
Asaph Clume is a newspaper editor by trade and an amateur detective by habit and tendency. Clume is the owner and managing editor of the Express, but he enjoys solving cases. He has a naturally serene temperament. Clume is assisted by the “irrepressible red-headed reporter” Rufus Reed.
