Clayton, Jack. Jack Clayton was created by Sinclair Gluck (Paul Bernard, Ross McCoy) and appeared in “The House of the Missing” (Saucy Stories, Aug 1-Sept 15, 1922) and “Dragon in Harness” (Complete Novel Magazine, Dec 1925).
Jack Clayton is an upper-class American painter of independent means who is drawn into crime-solving by the disappearance of his sister. He becomes involved in a Secret Service case against “the Emperor,” a White Russian crimelord, and against Yellow Perils in Japan and China.
