James Clarkson-Parry is a Rootless Veteran. He is a tall, athletic, misogynistic, aristocratic county golf champion in England. He’s also a veteran of World War One who won the V.C. and displayed great courage under fire. After the war he was one of the “new poor” and joined the force as a constable. After his uncle died and left Clarkson-Parry some money he became a private detective to the upper classes. He is Watsoned by his fellow veteran Charlie.
