Charro Negro (II). Charro Negro (II) was created by the Mexican creator Raúl de Anda and appeared in four movies from 1940 to 1949, beginning with El Charro Negro.
Charro Negro (II) is a Costumed Avenger. In the 19th century, in Mexico, a rancher, Roberto, is heartbroken when his lover is raped and then commits suicide. Roberto decides to put on a costume and avenge his lover’s death and then fight injustice more generally, Zorro-style. He does this despite being framed for murder and despite the usual Zorro-type dangers and enemies, including an Evil Surgeon Mad Scientist.
