Capone, Al (II). Al Capone (1899-1947) was the most famous American gangster of the 1920s, and was one of the most powerful men in Chicago during that decade. In 1932 Capone was the protagonist of the Celebrity Pulp Al Ripper. El Terror de Chicago #1-12. Written by the Spanish author Guillermo López Hipkiss (Perry Baxton, Edward Cromwell, Lincoln Fields, Patrick O’Hara, Roland Patton, Yuma), Al Ripper portrayed Capone as a vicious criminal and an evil man. He appears in stories with titles like “War to the Death!”
