Caparrota. Manuel de Flores (1808-1845) was a popular bandit in and around the Serranía de Ronda mountains. He was known as “Caparrota” and was the subject of numerous folk ballads and romances. In 1935 he appeared in the Spanish dime novel Caparrota #1-12.

The fictional Caparrota is portrayed as a romantic Gentleman Bandit.
