Calvert, Jimmie. Jimmie Calvert was created by John A. Moroso (James Tierney, Grantham Waldron) and appeared in six stories in Pearson’s Magazine (U.S.) in 1912, beginning with “The Lost Squab” (Pearson’s Magazine (U.S.), June, 1912).

Jimmie Calvert is a member of American high society who, out of a combination of patriotic sentiment and financial necessity, takes a job for the Secret Service solving crimes, preventing crimes from taking place, bodyguarding, and other such tasks. He is nearly a Fop but is high-strung and constantly aware of the danger he is in.
