El Caballero. El Caballero was created by Alec G. Pearson (Captain Montana, Stanley Dare, Doctor Duval, Frank Ferret, Royston Gower, Dr. Messina, Dr. Nevada) and appeared in six stories in Chums in 1919 and possibly 1920, beginning with “The Horsemen of Monterey” (Chums, Oct. 25, 1919).

El Caballero is a Costumed Avenger modeled on Zorro. El Caballero is active in California in the 1840s.
