Bulstrode, Jimmy. Jimmy Bulstrode was created by Marie van Vorst and appeared in eight stories which were collected in The Sentimental Adventures of Jimmy Bulstrode (1908).

Jimmy Bulstrode is a kind, genteel, wealthy American with a problem: he’s completely in love with Mrs. Falconer, who though married sometimes flirts with Jimmy. Jimmy, however, cannot bring himself to make Mrs. Falconer cheat on her husband; Jimmy wants to marry Mrs. Falconer. And so for fifteen years he torments himself by being Mrs. Falconer’s best friend. During this time Jimmy has mild adventures around America and Europe, until finally Mr. Falconer is dead and Jimmy is free to marry the former Mrs. Falconer.
