Bull, Homer. Homer Bull was created by Lawrence Lariar and appeared in four novels from 1943 to 1945, beginning with Death is the Host. Homer Bull is the writer of the comic strip “True Stories of Crime,” which is as the title implies. His friend Ham Macandrews is the artist for the strip. But when circumstances call for it, they solve crimes, which works well, since Bull is “a demon data fiend” who craves information about “detail, atmosphere, and background,” and Macandrews is a Bellem who does the arm- and legwork for Bull.
