Brown, David. David Brown was created by “Jacques van Workum,” the pseudonym of the Dutch author Wiert Jakob Eelssema, and appeared in eight novels from 1929 to 1930, beginning with Het Geheim van den Doode die Terugkeerde Kwam.
David Brown is a Great Detective known as the “Dutch Sherlock Holmes.” Brown is Dutch detective active in the Dutch East Indies. Several of his novels verge on the fantastic, with titles like “The Uncrowned Queen,” “The Secret of the Living Dead,” “The Invisible Adversary,” and “The Island of Terror.”
