Brooks, Reggie. Reggie Brooks was created by “Donald Macpherson,” the pseudonym of the Canadian author George Humphrey, and appeared in Go Home, Unicorn (1935) and Men Are Like Animals (1937). Reggie Brooks is a Canadian neurologist and lecturer at Provincial University. He is also an accomplished scientist whose achievements include wiring a conger-eel’s eye so that what it sees is transmitted via wires to a television screen. He is drawn into unusual cases involving digital and biological telepathy, telekinesis, and the transmutation of species.
