Broncho Billy. Broncho Billy was created by Gilbert M. Anderson (Alkali Ike, Hank and Lank) and appeared in at least sixty-seven films from 1911 to 1915, beginning with Broncho Billy’s Christmas Dinner. Broncho Billy is a handsome cowboy hero who fights for right, rescues maidens, and shoots evil owlhoots when necessary. In one film he meets Alkali Ike.
