Brent, Carey. Carey Brent was created by M.W. Glidden and appeared in Death Strikes Home (1937) and The Long Island Murders (1937).

Carey Brent is an agent for the American Secret Service. She commands a group of field agents and reports to Captain Ramsay. Brent appears to be a “sweet, fluttery, and ineffectual” blonde but is actually shrewd and tough. She usually works with George McFarland, who is known as “The Automaton” because of his robotic demeanor but who Brent knows to be a kind lover. Brent works in secret for McFarland to protect her role in the investigations. Brent is more focused on gathering evidence than many investigators.
